During the annual Camping Qu\u00e9bec congress, which was held on October 27th, 2018, Camping Aventure M\u00e9gantic received the most prestigious award in the industry when awarded with Camping of the year 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is the most prestigious award in the camping industry, which recognizes the exceptional work done by a campground to differentiate itself by the initiatives taken towards customer service, human resource management, and its outstanding operations in general. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also have received the prize of \u201cBatisseurs d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui\u201d for a third consecutive year, from our investors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Great Adventure! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was in May 2015 that a new 168-site campsite opened its doors in Frontenac, with new facilities, heated salt pools, two water slides, a playground for children, sports areas and entertainment for the whole family. In addition to the four-season ready-to-camp units (Cabania, POD or yurt), an inn was added, which opened in 2018. Since the start of the adventure, the three partners, Julie Rouillard, Jacques Boulanger and Francis Therrien, do not spare their efforts to make Camping Aventure M\u00e9gantic a quality four-season holiday resort, moving from a classification of 4 to 5 stars in 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team aims at long-term development management strategies, notably through the use of high-quality materials and sometimes, recycled materials. Some of the equipment was recycled from the stores and buildings of downtown Lac-M\u00e9gantic, and the waterslides come from a former Water Park of the region. The fences, which delimited the perimeter of downtown of Lac-M\u00e9gantic, now delimit the campground\u2019s dog park, while an old bus was recycled as an entertainment venue for teenagers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The judges praised the energy management processes put in place by the management team, such as the reduction of water consumption in the sanitary blocks, as well as the water recycling system used for the waterslides and water-park.
