Additionally, discover the fascinating history of this site and the people who worked there from 1862 to 1960. A suspension bridge crossing Mining Creek now leads visitors to the shaft of the former mine.
An atmospheric exhibition recounting the events, using texts, objects, and photographs, will introduce you to the world of gold prospectors. Learn the secrets of one of the owners, John Henry Pope. Surprise yourself by imagining the hard work carried out by gold prospectors and miners in outdoor conditions.
