Regulations
To ensure you have the best possible experience at our campsite, please read the rules to follow as a guest camper.
The client is responsible for all members of his group and his guests for their observance of the rules.
Camping Aventure Mégantic specifically reserves the right to expel any person with its group of clients who does not comply with the regulations or who, in its sole discretion, is deemed undesirable, without reimbursement or compensation of any kind or other notice.
Early arrival:
An additional charge will be applied if the arrival is more than one hour before the time indicated in the reservation, ie an amount of 7 $ / hour. Accessibility to the site is not guaranteed.
Late check-out:
On the day of departure, it is possible to have an extended stay until 5 p.m. for those who have rented a campsite for an additional fee of 15 $ plus taxes if the availability of pitches allows it. The extended stay is not offered for those staying in ready-to-camp. Go to reception with your sticker before 11 a.m. on the day of departure in order to benefit from this option.
Visitors:
Each client is responsible for their guests and will have to make them leave their location before 10:30 p.m. or check them in for the night. Visitors are admitted until 8:30 p.m. Additional fees will be charged for visitors staying overnight.
Curfew and tranquility of the resort:
At all times, customers must avoid making noise during the curfew period which is from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. and during this period, no noise likely to be heard from the neighboring location is permitted. During the curfew, customers must be at their respective sites, with their children, and gatherings are not permitted.
A curfew is also applicable for play modules from 9 p.m. as well as for all common areas and no noise likely to be heard from neighboring locations is permitted.
Magnetic card :
Upon arrival, a magnetic card to open the barrier will be given to you free of charge. You must bring it back to us when you leave, otherwise a fee of 20 $ +tx will apply.
Ready-to-camp – Security pre-authorization:
A pre-authorization of 250 $ will be required on a valid credit card upon arrival for all ready-to-camp rentals. This amount does not constitute payment, but acts as a security deposit in case of damage, breakage, excessive uncleanliness, or non-compliance with regulations. The pre-authorization will be released after inspection of the ready-to-camp at the end of the stay, if no anomalies are noted.
Pets :
Pets are allowed on the campsite and are limited to two per pitch. They must be kept on a leash on your pitch and cannot be left unattended on your pitch. They are not allowed in buildings, playgrounds, or aquatic facilities. Barking is not tolerated, and anyone who owns a barking dog must remove it from the campsite. The pet keeper must immediately clean up after the animal. No aggressive animals are allowed on the campsite.
Pets are not allowed in ready-to-camp sites except for those specifically mentioned in the ready-to-camp site description. A fee of 150 TP4T + tax will be charged for any pet found violating the rules.
Trafic :
The maximum speed allowed for vehicles, karts, scooters, bicycles or other means of transport on the campsite is 8 km/h. During the curfew period, traffic must be reduced to a minimum.
The use of electric carts "karts", electric scooters or other electric vehicles must be for moving from one point to another and strolling type rides are prohibited in order to respect the peace and quiet of other customers. The driver must have at least minimum age of 14 yearsThe golf cart must have a maximum of 4 people, 2 people in the front and 2 people in the back. A rear seat is required for passengers. Children are not allowed to drive and must be seated back.
It is strictly forbidden to ride a motorcycle, moped, or other gas-powered vehicle except to get to your location and without noise. Motorcycle access is prohibited after 9 p.m. Mountain bike riding is prohibited, except for vehicles belonging to Camping Aventure Mégantic.
Bicycles must be stored after 9 p.m. every evening or as soon as it gets dark in the evening.
Alcohol and drugs while driving are prohibited. Police will be called if a driver is seen to be intoxicated.
Parking :
The customer must park his car on his site and may not use vacant sites. It is forbidden to park along paths, playgrounds or any other place not provided for this purpose.
Aquatic facilities:
The aquatic facilities (pools, wading pool, splash pads, and slides) are open from June through Labor Day. Schedules and access are subject to change without notice. Please note that the pools may be closed on weekdays during the school year. All guests have access to the aquatic facilities. Lifeguards have full authority over their use.
Aquatic facilities regulations:
- Mandatory shower outside;
- Please walk within the facility at all times;
- No running, even on the stairs;
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult;
- Long hair must be tied up;
- All glass containers are prohibited;
- Food and chewing gum are prohibited within the facilities;
- Drinks are prohibited near water or while you are in the water;
- Pushing, diving, running, backflips and rolling are prohibited;
- Jumps are only permitted at designated locations;
- It is strictly forbidden to smoke or vape within a distance of less than 9 meters from the facilities;
- Any person under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs may be refused access to aquatic facilities;
- Please respect the comfort and safety of others;
- Anyone having access to aquatic facilities must comply with the instructions of the lifeguards;
- Animals must remain outside the premises;
- No verbal violence will be tolerated.
4-season covered SPA:
The spa (hot tub) is accessible year-round. Access to the spa is controlled by a QR code reader that can be found on the invoice and therefore, all customers have access to the facility. Schedule and access may change without notice.
Spa Rules (adult only):
- Session of 20 minutes or less ;
- Give up your place after 1 session;
- Children under 18 are not permitted (From November to April, children under 18 are admitted if accompanied by an adult)
- Maximum of 8 people;
- Tied hair is mandatory and no immersion of the head in the spa water is permitted;
- Use of sun creams and oils is prohibited in the spa;
- Do not use alone;
- Shower required before use (near swimming pools);
- Access prohibited if you have skin lesions or open wounds;
- Decent swimwear and proper attitude are required; only swimsuits are permitted. All other clothing (t-shirts, briefs, boxer shorts, Bermuda shorts and any other clothing that resembles shorts) is prohibited.
- Eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited inside the spa, only bottled water is permitted.
Immersion in hot water when under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs or medication may result in adverse consequences and is not recommended. Seniors, pregnant women and people with health problems should consult a doctor before using the spa.
We assume no responsibility for physical or material damage, loss, theft or alteration. The SPA is monitored at all times by surveillance camera. The owners and management are not responsible for injuries or accidents and reserve the right to restrict access at any time.
Glass containers :
Glass bottles (wine, beer, liquor, etc.) and any other glass container (wine cups, glasses, etc.) are strictly prohibited at the various aquatic facilities, under and around the canopy, on the campsite paths and children's games, common areas and sports fields. However, they are tolerated in your location. Only plastic cans and bottles are allowed at aquatic facilities and on paths. This regulation aims to minimize foot injuries caused by broken bottles.
WI-FI :
We offer free wireless internet. You must have your equipment. A password will be provided to you. Internet service is basic. Camping Aventure Mégantic cannot be held responsible in the event of service interruption or malfunction related to this service, regardless of the period of time that the service is non-functional, and no compensation or reimbursement can be claimed.
In order for our wireless network to be efficient, it is strongly recommended not to use rooters or boosters in order to avoid interference and thus reduce our distribution power and it is forbidden to use the Wi-Fi network for viewing Netflix or other streaming sites as well as to perform game console updates.
Respect of the area and the environment:
Camp or cooking fires are permitted only in places designated for this purpose and must be extinguished before bedtime. At all times, they must be kept under the supervision of a responsible person. It is prohibited to move the traffic lights. A minimum fee of 50 $ + tax will be applied for the restoration of the site by moving fire rings. It is prohibited to burn waste in fires or leave waste in fire rings.
The customer must leave the place he occupies and the equipment he uses in good and clean condition. Likewise, pitches left in a dirty state will be cleaned at the customer's expense and damaged equipment will be replaced at the customer's expense.
Only geothermal mats are tolerated.
THE garbage, THE recycling, THE compost and the cans must be placed in the containers provided for this purpose and must not be left in the fire or burned. You will find at the exit of the campsite containers and bins provided for this purpose. Do not put your garbage bags in the bins located throughout the campsite, but in the containers to avoid overflow.
A minimum fee of 50 $ + tax will be applied for occupants of ready-to-camp camps who do not properly dispose of and/or empty their garbage, recycling, compost and cans in the containers and bins provided at the campsite exit.
Our pleasure in sharing places and respecting our environment is everyone's business.
Commitment to sustainable development and eco-responsibility:
We are committed to sustainable development for our company as well as for the well-being of future generations. It is together that we can act for an eco-responsible society.
Here is a list of simple tips:
At reception, you can bring us the following items which we will collect:
- Logs for lighting campfires;
- Batteries for sending to the Ecocentre;
- Cork stopper, plastic stopper, can tab for DIY.
Near the exit on the side of Route 161, you will find:
- Brown bin for Compost;
- Container for Waste;
- Container for Recovery;
- Barrel for small propane and butane cylinders;
- Can drop-off as well as at several other locations on the site (for the benefit of the recreation committee).
Water : The water comes from a well, is drinkable and of good quality. Please be careful not to spill it unnecessarily.
Electric vehicle charging station : Customers must use one of the two charging stations near the community building using the EvDuty app. Charging at your site's electricity is prohibited. A fee of 10 TP4T/day may apply if you charge at your campsite or ready-to-camp site.
Insurance and damage:
The customer must hold and maintain in force during the entire rental period provided for an insurance policy covering all of his property and civil liability.
Camping Aventure Mégantic can in no way be held responsible for damage caused to the client or to his property; except in the event of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
The customer will be personally responsible for damage caused to the property of the campsite, by acts that he, the members of the customer group or his guests may commit.
Policy on tobacco and cannabis :
It is forbidden to smoke and vape in buildings, ready-to-camp, common areas, play areas, Teen Corner as well as within a 9-meter perimeter of these places, the community building and any places for children. .
It is forbidden to smoke cannabis in all public places, including play areas, common areas, hiking trails as well as inside ready-to-camp facilities. The customer may, however, smoke cannabis at their rented location.
A fee of 150 $ + tx will be charged for any non-compliance with this policy.
Driving a vehicle or golf cart while under the influence of drugs will result in the expulsion of the client group.
Policy regarding kiosk, promotion or other commercial activities:
It is strictly forbidden to set up a kiosk, sell objects, products, or miscellaneous items, or conduct any commercial activity on the campsite without prior written permission from management. Any violation of these rules could result in immediate expulsion of the group of campers without refund.
It is prohibited to :
- To kill, capture, injure, feed or tame any animal (including frogs);
- Throw away trash other than in the designated waste containers or to burn trash in the fire pit;
- To fell, damage, cut, remove a tree, shrub or herbaceous plant or part of them as well as attach a rope to it for any reason whatsoever (example: clothesline );
- To move campfire sites (fees will apply);
- Leave dirty dishes and food all over the place;
- Bring glass containers out of your campsite or into buildings, sanitary blocks, aquatic facilities or play areas;
- To wash cars, trucks, recreational vehicles or any other equipment;
- To make fireworks or soaring lanterns;
- Use a drone;
- To bring slingshots, air guns or any weapon of any kind.
Anyone who violates these rules can be expelled from the campground without any further notice or refund.
Camping Aventure Mégantic will not be held responsible for accidents or injuries occurring on the site, nor for items and/or equipment lost, stolen or vandalized caused by the actions and omissions of other campers or any occupant, customer or person.
The camper undertakes not to hold Camping Aventure Mégantic responsible for damage caused by a partial or total lack of electricity or water, by special atmospheric or climatic conditions, by falling trees, by falling branches, snow, fire, floods or any accident.
For any requests, suggestions or comments, please address them to the reception desk and the person in charge will forward them to the appropriate person as soon as possible. Out of respect for the owners and their privacy, please do not go directly to their locations.
