Thanks to the generous contribution of our campers and our commitment, we have planted 88 trees to contribute to the offsetting our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.🌲✨
For every dollar raised, the campsite has decided to double the amount in order to amplify our impact on the environment.💪💚
These trees, as they grow, will absorb approximately 1.76 tonnes of CO₂ each year, the equivalent of:
🚗 8,800 km traveled by car avoided
🍴 130 kg of uneaten beef
💡 2,600 kWh of electricity saved

GHG offsetting allows:
* Reduce the carbon footprint, i.e. net emissions of carbon dioxide, one of the main causes of global warming;
* Preserve biodiversity by promoting the creation of habitats for numerous animal and plant species;
* Improve air quality by absorbing CO₂ , but also other atmospheric pollutants;
* Protect soil and water resources with roots that reduce soil erosion, improve soil fertility and limit flood risks while playing an essential role in preserving groundwater.
There are several other benefits to offsetting our GHGs, such as being more aware of what we are leaving to our future generations.
