We are pleased to note that the efforts made over the years in the area of sustainable development have recently been highlighted in the magazine. Camp of the Quebec Federation of Camping and Caravanning.
In an article about eco-friendly campgrounds and the challenges climate change poses to our industry, Camping Aventure Mégantic is presented as an example of the transition to more sustainable tourism. The article highlights our GreenStep Gold certification in 2024, a recognition that demonstrates our commitment to integrating responsible practices into our daily operations.
Among the initiatives mentioned are our carbon offset program through tree planting, as well as our Guide to Eco-Responsible Practices given to campers to raise awareness about waste reduction, responsible use of water and energy, active travel and buying local.
For us, sustainable development is not just about certification. It's a process of continuous improvement aimed at preserving the natural environments that we have the privilege of sharing with our campers, today and for future generations.
This recognition also reflects the involvement of our team, our partners and our campers who each contribute, in their own way, to making a difference.
We invite you to consult the full article below to learn more about the initiatives implemented in various campgrounds in the Eastern Townships and Quebec.
A sincere thank you to Anne Marie Parent and the Quebec Federation of Camping-Caravanning for this wonderful spotlight on the eco-responsible initiatives undertaken in Quebec campgrounds.
